Ailsa McAleer is one of our most loved and respected coaches at Lochaber RFC. She brings a wealth of experience to the club — not only as a long‑standing coach, but also as a fully qualified Paramedic. On top of that, she serves as our Child Protection Officer, which means she’s always busy looking after the wellbeing and safety of everyone involved in the club.
Ailsa oversees everything from checking and maintaining our First Aid bags to ensuring we are fully up to date with the latest SRU regulations for safeguarding our young players. She also arranges training courses so that we have confident, capable people ready to deal with any situation that may arise on the pitch during matches or training.
We are also fortunate to have a Defibrillator mounted on the front wall of the clubhouse. This is available for use in the event of a cardiac emergency and is accessible to the local community as well as the club.
Do you have any first aid knowledge or even better a current First Aid Certificate? Would you be willing to help provide that support at some of the Youth Games? We provide the first aid bags. Please let Stevie & Ailsa McAleer if you can help out on match days.
