Back7. Player Sponsorship
The idea of Player Sponsorship was introduced a few years ago. How it works is that before every new season begins, players are emailed in advance with the application forms remind them of this option and adequate time to secure a sponsor and get the paperwork and payment process completed by the 1st September which is the start of the Membership year .
The amount of £150 is split up into £100 Snr Player Renewal fee and £50 donation to the Club. We will accept payments up to the end of September but that is the final cut-off point. The sponsorship is for the year (1st September - 31st August) we do not offer any mid-season sponsorship.
It is the players responsibility to source a sponsor and commit to the agreement on the form that in return for the financial support from the sponsor, they will give a 'shout out' to their sponsor on their social media page (s) on game day to provide the sponsor with extra advertising. The sponsors name will also be on the Team Sheet on our Social Media pages before each match.
Any players failing to secure a sponsorship and payment by the end of September will have to pay their membership fees themselves.
Sponsoring a player signals that the local business genuinely cares about local sport and young people. This builds trust and emotional connection — people prefer to buy from businesses that support their community. It also helps keep sport affordable by offsetting kit, equipment, and facility costs, they become part of the story of local players’ development and success.

In return for this Player’s Sponsorship the Club will offer the following benefits:
- Sponsor’s name and logo listed against player in squad announcements and posted on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and our Website.
- Sponsors name and logo to be listed against player in squad on TV screens in the clubhouse prior to and after matches.
- The sponsor will be issued with a LRFC Local Discount Card
