Due to overnight rain Thursday/Friday being much heavier than forecast, the Banavie pitch was almost at saturation point this morning. With an amended forecast predicting several hours of heavy rain tonight, and into tomorrow, the pitch will once again be waterlogged and unplayable. More rain and sleet showers are also forecast from about 9am through to lunchtime tomorrow, which would make the conditions very unpleasant for our young players. In addition the Met Office has now also issued a Yellow Warning for snow between 2pm and 7pm today, which may well build up on the pitch.

Taking all of this into account I’ve made an early decision to cancel tomorrow’s Mini Rugby training, rather than delaying the inevitable cancellation until tomorrow at 8.30am
