Oban Lorne RFC - Mini Rugby Festival – Saturday 23rd March 2019

We are planning to take our P4/5 & P6/7 teams to Oban.

Kick off 12pm – Driving time to Oban is approximately 1 hour

The club will supply playing tops, players to supply their own shorts and socks.

Players should carry a packed lunch with them.

We will require parents to transport our players to the tournament.

We hope to arrive in Oban at least 30 mins before the first game starts at 12pm

(Heading through Oban, turn left at the roundabout at the end of George St at the Royal Hotel. Continue south on the Lochgilphead Road. Just after the pedestrian crossing before the Church, bear left up the hill to the left of the Church. Continue on Glencruitten Road to the top of the hill, turn right on to Mossfield Avenue.
Once past the Mossfield Stadium take the next turning on the left into Glencruitten Drive, continue to the end crossing the narrow bridge into the car park at the rugby club)

Please Note

We have an Under 11 team from Alnwick RFC, in Northumberland, visiting Banavie on Sunday 31st March to play our P5’s, P6’s & some of our younger P7 players (those who turned 11 on or after the 1st September last year). A small tournament has been agreed. Kick off is planned for 10.30am.

The Oban Lorne event which has now been cancelled on three occasions due to poor weather will not be rescheduled. Instead double points will be awarded at the event on Saturday 23rd March.

The remaining Dalriada Mini Rugby Festivals for our P4/5 & P6/7 teams are Mull on Saturday 4th May, Etive Vikings, Taynuilt, on Sunday 12th May, and our home event at Banavie on Sunday 26th May.
