FUTURE EVENTS
40th ANNIVERSARY MATCH 4th April
KICK OFF 3PM
(UPDATE!)
Unfortunately due to the Easter School Holidays we were unable to get other teams to come through for our proposed Day of Rugby.
However, we have had a very positive response from all ex-pat/semi retired players selected to form a special anniversary team, which just goes to show how much the club still means to them .
We are looking for lots of support on the hill - it should be a very good match to watch as well as play in. After the match, both teams will sit down to a meal prepared by 'The Ladies'.
Because the club was formed in 1969 will are having a 60's Theme Night in the evening, fancy dress optional.
We are really looking forward to the whole experience and hope you are able to come along and join in the fun with us.
ANNUAL SEVENS - 2nd MAY
Our annual Sevens Tournament will be on Saturday 2nd May (May Bank Holiday Weekend).
We hope to get a good turnout of visiting teams (Quintin have already accepted!!) To finish the day off there will be a Tournament Ceilidh in the evening.

40th Anniversary Dinner
We are holding a Dinner in the Alexandra Hotel, Fort William on Saturday 18th April 2009 with guest speakers, Rob Wainright, Danny Alexander and Colin Baillie. We hope to see lots of familiar faces old and new to help celebrate 40 years of rugby in Lochaber.
Please note this is not an all male event - the ladies are very welcome to attend, they have played a very important part in our club over the years and we want them to be part of the celebrations too.
Tickets are £30 each will be available for public sale from 31 January 2009 because we are limited to numbers and we are expecting a high demand for tickets and have felt it necessary to implement some terms and conditions for tickets sales (see below).

Ticket Terms & Conditions are as follows:

L.R.F.C. 40th ANNIVERSARY
40th ANNIVERSARY BOOKLET
As many of you will know, Lochaber Rugby Club will celebrate its 40th (ruby) anniversary this season.
The first game play by the club was against a Highland team in January 1969. As part of the celebrations it is intended to produce a brochure/booklet detailing the history of the club, but also incorporate humorous (?) anecdotes.
If any member, past or present has any stories regarding tours, games or anything that has occurred on or off the field, then I would like you to let me know about it. Names may be altered to protect the guilty, so no-one need be embarrassed to tell their tale.
If you have the facility, can you please scan any original photographs and e-mail them to me with your story. However, if you wish to send in your story by the more traditional method, I would be grateful if you could write your name and address on the back any photograph you wish returned to you.
My contact details are:
